Kenkar have manufactured some heavy duty mobile pipe dollies, which are suitable for use on pipe up to 630mm SDR11 in size and weight. These dollies are designed as an alternative to static pipe rollers,which are not always feasible to use.
They are particulary useful in situations where pipe has to pulled a considerable distance from welding location to installation location. They are also very effective for use on bundled pipe, such as in the case of electrical conduits where 3 or more pipes are often installed in the one common bore. The strapping and spacing methodology on bundled pipe doesn't always lend itself to being pulled over static roller systems, so these mobile dollies offer a simple alternative.
Kenkar are also in the process of manufacturing some smaller units which will be suitable for pipe/bundle diameters up to 315mm.
